Vionic makes modern footwear that harness’s the science of style and comfort for the wellness seeker who will not compromise fashion for comfort.
Sales for the Uptown Loafer shoe had exceeded expectations but, at the same time, Vionic’s brand recognition is low. With our years of experience working with major footwear brands, Vionic looked to us to create a film that would help them reach their growth goals.
The current success of the shoe presents an opportunity to tie the product to the brand’s vision.
We sought to create a promo film that highlights the Uptown loafer and it’s unique features and benefits whilst emphasizing Vionic’s position as a tech-forward, wearable wellness brand.
Our discovery sessions with the internal creative team identified pain points and laid the foundation for the project. This consultation led to a comprehensive creative brief, outlining a strategic approach that ensures goal alignment. From here we deep dive, identifying key themes and visuals that are essential to the brand's emotional voice and message.
This discovery informs our creative direction and decision making going forward. Our strategy is based on intertwining these elements whilst demonstrating the flexible and packable product stories to create a brand rich product film.
During the creative development phase we explored various opportunities to enhance and evolve the project and tie the product story to the greater brand visual language.
This included warm golden hour lighting and moments of nature as a way to connect the product to the overarching Vionic brand of wearable wellness.
And picture-in-picture framing to create moments of interest and focus that draw attention to the tech.
Ultimately we sought to marry the warm look and Nor-Cal nature vibes with a studio environment. This brought in an etherical quality, and positive feeling associated with wearable wellness.
The final film provides Vionic with a new way to tell their brand and product story. By going beyond a simple product demonstration the film has become an experience that conveys the essence of the Vionic brand.
Currently, it’s being use as a standalone paid media promo, and has also been intercut with live action footage for influencer stories used across Vioinic’s social media channels.
